~ Canaan Smith emerging country artist turned up the party in San Diego
Emerging country artist Canaan Smith turned up the party at Dan+Shay’s Where It all Began tour at House of Blues San Diego on March 19. Canaan Smith opened the night with his new song “Hole in a Bottle." This little number energized the crowd wanting to hear more. After a little drinking song, it was time to start the party with his catchy tune “it’s a Party”
Canaan’s new song Stuck was next. It describes how everyone can get hung up at a certain place or person in their life. 2 Lane Road moved the audience through what it’s like to be in a small town and the only place to get lost and alone was on a country dirt road.
It was a “good kinda bad” as Canaan Smith covered Nick Jonas’ Jealous. He slowed down a bit to discover a “Mad Love” for country music before taking a moment of reflection in love, loss and what’s important. The song Bronco was written about his late brother. That blue and white Bronco reminds him of all things about him and that are important. Closing out his set, Canaan rekindled the audience’s energy with his new hit single “Love you Like That”.
Nashville singer songwriter Canaan Smith recently signed with Mercury Records and released his Debut self-titled EP on March 24. The new EP features the hit single “Love You Like That” and four new songs now available on Itunes.
“Love you Like That” is a Top 30 single that is climbing the country airplay charts and had reached No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 45 Countdown back in February.
