~ Lonestar performed at Live and UpClose at Sycuan Casino, El Cajon, California.
Country Music quartet, Lonestar, was truly live and up close for some fans at Sycuan Casino in El Cajon, California Friday March 20, 2015. A few fans were allowed on stage during the night to take selfies and pose for pictures with the band in the mist of the show.
This acoustic concert tour marks Lonestar’s continued success and celebration of their twenty year anniversary. The milestone wasn’t lost on the group as they continually thanked the audience for sticking with them through the years.
The intimate acoustic setup allowed all members playing for and talking to the audience all night. Bar stools were lined up along the front of the stage and back up members were just in the shadows behind them.
Keyboard and vocalist, Dean Sams seemed to be the comedic act for the night telling jokes and stories from the road. Lead vocalist Richie McDonald also got into the storytelling. The Lonestar guys talked about a fan called Cake Man; telling how he brought a cake to them at every show he attended. Dean Sams also talked about the best gift he gave his wife over the years, a belt and a bag. As it turns out, there is a sad and funny twist to the story.
Lonestar played most of their 9 hit singles "No News", "Amazed", "What About Now", "I'm Already There", "My Front Porch Looking In", and "Mr. Mom.
In 1995, Lonestar released their self-titled debut album and their first single, "Tequila Talkin’. This song quickly made it to the Top 10 Country charts. Along with CMA and ACM awards through the years, Lonestar sold over ten million albums earning themselves platinum status with RIAA. They also performed a couple newer song too “Pretty good day” and “Just the Rain.”
Twenty years and still pushing out fan favorite music.
